Where does nature end and our body begin? Explore this through dance and movement under the inspiring supervision of the Amenti Collective. Draw inspiration from the Dissident Gardens programme and use Het Nieuwe Instituut as a playground for experiment.
In this workshop Amenti Collective will show you how you can use dance to become more aware of your own body. For this purpose they have developed the Amenti Movemeant Method, a philosophy combining Oriental wisdom with Western psychology that draws its inspiration from natural elements such as earth, fire and water. By using your body as a means of developing yourself, this method teaches you the power of transformation through different layers.
The Rotterdam dance collective Amenti Collective was founded by artistic director Gil the Grid. The collective comprises four members from different backgrounds who each contribute their own particular voice and skills. By means of dance, performances and workshops, Amenti Collective aims to spread creativity and empowerment. They teach as a team at the Amenti Academy, in which a group studies the Amenti Movemeant Method and works physically and spiritually on its performance skills.
